Maybe you can’t eat sugar but there is something else that can make you feel good and enjoy what you need to eat to strengthen your body. If there is a chance for you to survive the fight and defeat it, all the rest of the healthy diet you will go along with afterwards will be a delight.

So, you can’t have meat but you can have some chicken; You cannot have fried chips but you can have baked food; You’re not allowed to have cream or milk but you may have cornstarch - actually, anyone can have cornstarch. Yes, cornstarch, you read well. Instead of a cake made with whipped cream or egg based topping which is sometimes not that good for you, you can try a delicious sugar-free lemons cornstarch pudding or some passion fruit topping. The crust can be as well made of ingredients that are more appropriate for your needs. Use seeds and cereals that are famous for their nutritional value such as amaranth or quinoa. You will feel lighter and properly nourished. The last thing one needs when they are not in good health is to feel too heavily burdened with foods that create discomfort and difficult the digestion process.
I don't want to share here personal experience, as this is not why I created this site and these blog pages, but I still can remember the times when I wasn't doing so well myself and needed to find either a cure or the proper diet. It is amazing what the proper diet and lifestyle can do. So, do not feel afraid that it is too hard to start a new diet, just enjoy what is not only healthy but also very tasty and makes you feel better and apt for anything else you might want to enjoy. After all, everybody is here to enjoy their life. That must be the purpose: to find the time to enjoy what you probably never knew you would enjoy, or, you were afraid to allow to yourself. Whether is that drawing or painting, learning some new skill, reading or writing, crafting, even cooking! From playing with lego pieces and making puzzles or folding paper to dancing, anything can bring to you that sense of fulfilment you need and deserve. It doesn't have to be for any other reason than the pleasure of the practice itself. That is the real health: when you know what is going on with you and your body, and are ready to kill what kills you for the chance to love what you do and who you are and are ready to enjoy the rest of your life.
